Minnesota Association of Townships
MAT Staff members constantly receive questions regarding if board members are paid for certain items, how reimbursements work, how much should townships charge for giving out copies of minutes, what is the time frame to hand out minutes, what policies should townships have, how Townships know if materials were transferred from previous officer to a new one, who is the Town Board Chair, and many other administrative type questions relating to running the township. These are questions the Town Board should provide answers for either in the minutes, by resolution or by implementing appropriate policies. The Town Board should review these items on a yearly basis. This class will take an in depth look at best practices when it comes to reorganizational meetings as well as recommending some basic policies Town Boards should consider maintaining.Expand summary
